The Beach and the Lighthouse

A cancelled plan was the very reason this trip took place.

Port Dickson has been our picnic spot since young. This trip was just the two of us, my sis and I because an earlier plan made with friends got cancelled.

The hotel we booked was Grand Beach Resort and it cost RM190 per night. There was no WiFi in the room except in the lobby. The room was great, there was a pool, the restaurant was ok. The most important part is that the beach was just a few steps from the hotel. We are thankful for that.

We went up Tanjung Tuan Recreational Park to view the Straits of Malacca from the lighthouse. It took us about 15 minutes from the hotel. Going up, it took us about 1 hours. The path upwards was scary. Probably because it was at 6pm. There is a beautiful hotel by the name Ilham Resort before the entrance of the recreational park.

This is from Wikipedia:
Tanjung Tuan or Cape Rachado is an exclave of the state of Malacca, Malaysia, adjacent to the town of Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. The cape is well known for the Cape Rachado Lighthouse facing the Strait of Malacca.

Usually RM1 is collected at the entrance of the recreational park but on that day no one was there. After the lighthouse, there was a route descending even further into the forest to Pulau Intan. We went down but decided that we should turn back because it's going to be dark soon. Alhamdulillah, we stopped by Pantai Purnama for sunset. We took a turn at Ancasa Hotel and went inside to reach Pantai Purnama.

We were given suggestion to dine at Sri Mesra Seafood but the food was just average, nothing to shout out about. Alhamdulillah there was a place for me to perform the Maghrib prayer.

The next morning was spent at the beach and pool. All praises to Allah for this opportunity.
